The Weight Stops Now

My Transformation from FAT to FIT!

Fat Digestion

1. LIPASE : Lipase is used for indigestion, heartburn, allergy to gluten in wheat products (celiac disease), Crohn's disease, and cystic fibrosis. Lipase is the digestive enzyme needed to digest fat. Lipase is an enzyme that hydrolyzes lipids, the ester bonds in triglycerides, to form fatty acids and glycerol.

2. PANCREATIN : Pancreatin is a mixture of several digestive enzymes produced by the exocrine cells of the pancreas. It is composed of amylase, lipase and protease. Pancreatin is a combination of digestive enzymes (proteins). These enzymes are normally produced by the pancreas and are important in the digestion of fats, proteins, and sugars. Pancreatin is used to replace digestive enzymes when the pancreas does not produce enough on its own.

Carbohydrate Digestion

3. AMYLASE : an enzyme that catalyses the hydrolysis of starch into sugars. Amylase is present in the saliva of humans and some other mammals, where it begins the chemical process of digestion. Amylase is the digestive enzyme needed to digest carbohydrates. Carbohydrates in food are an important and immediate source of energy for the body. Starch refers to carbohydrates found in plants (grains). Vegetables and fruits are a source of starch and are broken down to sugar or glucose.

4. CELLULASE : in order to digest properly the herbs, sprouts and greens, people need cellulase. This enzyme is naturally generated by bacteria, protozoa and symbiotic fungi. They can break cellulose. Cellulase enzymes differ according to their pH activity. Some of them are beneficial when working in a neutral or acidic environment, while others work best in alkaline environments. Since the human organism is not able to digest cellulose, people can take cellulase supplements in order to obtain the beta-glucose needed within the body. Glucose, or better known as blood sugar, is an important energy source that keeps people energized. Inside the stomach and intestinal canal beta-glucose can be extremely viscous. However, when ingested properly it reduces carbohydrates and fat absorption, maintaining proper cholesterol and appropriate sugar blood levels. Cellulose is an actual carbohydrate that can be found in the cellular structure of plants. It is said to be the world’s most abundant ingredient, because it is the primary component in plants and is ingested by numerous organisms. Cellulose is actually transformed in beta-glucose due to the cellulase enzyme.

Protein Digestion

5. PAPAIN : Papain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the leaf and raw fruit of the papaya plant. Proteolytic enzymes help break amino acids down into smaller strings of protein. Papain may also ease digestive symptoms like constipation and bloating

6. PROTEASE : Protease (also known as a proteolytic enzyme, peptidase or proteinase) is a type of enzyme that functions mainly to help us digest different kinds of proteins. They break down the bonds by a process known as hydrolysis and convert proteins into smaller chains called peptides or even smaller units called amino acids

7. PEPSIN : Pepsin is an enzyme that breaks down proteins into smaller peptides (that is, a protease). It is produced in the stomach and is one of the main digestive enzymes in the digestive systems of humans and many other animals, where it helps digest the proteins in food. Pepsin is integral in digesting any protein you consume as part of your diet, according to UC Clermont College. Dietary proteins are large molecules that are difficult to absorb. In order for the cells of your digestive tract to absorb the nutrients within proteins, the proteins have to be broken down into smaller particles, called polypeptides. Pepsin is the main enzyme that digests protein into polypeptides. Without pepsin, your ability to metabolize proteins is severely inhibited.

8. BROMELAIN : belongs to a group of protein digesting enzymes obtained commercially from the fruit or stem of pineapple.

Antioxidant & Enzymatic Potentiators

9. BETAINE : Betaine HCI can be extremely acid and that’s why it is useful for the digestive system. It helps digestion by establishing a proper pH level in the stomach. The betaine product also activates digestive enzymes killing the harmful organisms that can be found in food.

10. PEPPERMINT LEAF EXTRACT : For IBS, gastric emptying, colonic spasms and gas, upset stomach and indigestion (Dyspepsia).

11. LACTOBACILLUS ACIDOPHILUS, LACTOBACILLUS RHAMNOSUS: Probiotics provide living bacteria that help the body absorb nutrients and keep a healthy balance of good bacteria. They help treat conditions like diarrhea, lactose intolerance, eczema, asthma, vaginal infections, and irritable bowel syndrome. The World Health Organization defines probiotics as "live micro-organisms which, when administered in adequate amounts, confer a health benefit on the host”.

Enzymes are one of the most essential elements in our body. Enzymes are more important than the air you breathe, the water you drink, and the food you eat. Why is this? Enzymes are required for your body to function properly because without enzymes you wouldn't be able to breathe, swallow, drink, eat, or digest your food. To do all of these things, your body needs some help. You must have enzymes to help perform these tasks. Enzymes are an absolute necessity to live.

Enzymes are your body's workers. They are responsible for constructing, synthesizing, carrying, dispensing, delivering, and eliminating the many ingredients and chemicals our body uses in its daily business of living. Your body makes enzymes. When you were young, you had an abundant supply of enzymes. You felt great. Your energy level seemed never ending. You had "enzymes to burn" which kept you running at tip top efficiency.

As time goes by, you SLOWLY begin to lose this efficiency. For years you don't even notice the changes. But then you are less able to eat the spicy foods you love or less able to recover as quickly from the aches and pains of weekend sports. This reduced vitality and stamina can signal a weakened and compromised body.

You’re running low on the enzymes you need to fuel your life. The process of depleting your enzymes is a slow one, and most likely you didn't notice your energy and vitality disappearing until one day something you once loved to do was suddenly too much work. You aren't getting too old to enjoy life; you are running out of enzymes that would ensure you the energy you need to enjoy life. You simply need to restore your enzyme potential.

Don’t let an enzyme deficiency ruin your chances of success! Ensure you’re taking all precautions to get the MOST out of the LEAST! From competitive professional bodybuilders to average Joe’s, we ALL lose enzyme efficiency, we ALL require additional enzymes for proper assimilation and digestion, and most importantly, we’re all trying to set ourselves up to make the greatest positive changes in our physique! Don’t leave your supplementation to chance! Make sure you take advantage of the absolute BEST digestive enzymes and probiotics!
